  3. the only banned words are sh*t, p*ss, f*ck, c*nt, c*cksucker, motherf*cker, and t*ts. and i believe there is a rule that the rule is void on songs recorded before 1980-something.

  4. They do play a lot of good music, but they sound terrible...shrill, distorted, and noisy. The other Brewer stations sound really good...hopefully this is temporary!

  5. Brewer has never broken a 1 share in a format where they have a competitor! Why would this effort be any different?

  6. station sound weak.

  7. This station is only 250 watts and will not go anywhere. Why Hippie when they are not playing Hippie music but rather oldies and classic rock! Not to mention who are these dj's? Logan I remember but who are these other people.

  8. I think when Jim 2 decides he is going to do something he just does it in spite of the logic or circumstances. Then it seems he is blind to the reality of a failed effort. Guess it's nice to have the security of having your name on the side of the building!

  9. so if this format goes out, which it might, would they incerase power and switch to country?

  10. that would require them to compete. never been their strong point,

  11. What happened to the deep tracks. Same old crap as the 2 stations it is in between

  12. and the wheels keep turning inside that building.

hire and fire, hire and fire, hire and fire

amatuer hour continues. more gone today.

how ironic is it that the Brewer brass host a site called www.chattanoogahasjobs.com

    maybe a "sister site"

  13. Brewer owns a lot of "ChattanoogaHas" websites, but jobs is not one of them. Get your facts straight.

does that work for you smart ass?

  15. a joke? what is funny about being stuck with a crappy citadel talk station. BOTH stations put out crap and one of them has their ass rooted in a little deeper.

  17. "Logan I remember but who are these other people. "

    Logan Carmichael ~ Mornings 6am - 10am
    Lysa Greer ~ Middays 10am - 1pm
    Summer Foxx ~ Middays 1pm - 4pm
    John Thomas ~ Afternoons 4pm - 7pm

Also, this station is the best ever. They played an old Cheech and Chong skit last night around midnight. Hard to beat being a real Hippie and actually getting quality music, such as the selection from 106.9.

I understand if others only "pretend" to realize what good music is. Like I said earlier, it's cute how little you know about Radio. :)

  18. GREER USED TO DO MORNING WITH MIKE AND ED.

FOXX IS A BREWER. LOOKS YOUNGER. MAYBE A SISTER OR DAUGHTER,

DON'T KNOW ANYTHING ABOUT THOMAS. I THINK HE USED TO WORK FOR ONE OF THE CONGLOMERATES IN TOWN YEARS AGO.

  19. Computer-selected oldies played by kids who don't know what a "hippie" looks like...um...should do well, yeah...

  20. I know it's a few days late...but did anyone else notice how many of the voice tracked and syndicated shows on ALL the stations in town were NOT mentioning the fact we got the biggest snowfall and ice accumulations in 17 years? Any thoughts?

  22. yep. your post won't be here long either dude. he just hasn't seen it yet. this one will disappear as well

  23. Neither Big nor Hippie will play deep cuts.
I'm Sorry Doc Shepherds Electric Medicine Show on WWTAK-AM spoiled me. Introduced me to Quicksilver Messenger service. And help me develop a taste for Janis Joplan and the Dead. Ahh those Dead of Winter specials. Will we here anything like on either Big or Hippie? I doubt it.

  25. I really can't stand Greer's voice. Music is not Hippie at all. This kids weren't even born yet, or thought of yet to even know what Hippie meant or is!

    Very disappointed

    ReplyDelete
  26. Some of you say kids like that is a bad thing. Keep in mind that a lot of these so-called "kids" you speak of might actually know a thing or two about the music they're playing.

Greer worked in oldies radio before, both on air and in sales, so she knows the format. I also recall Logan working at a very young age on-air and programming that station in South Pittsburgh when it was oldies and classic hits, and I know he worked for KZ106 for several years and had decent ratings, also doing some stuff on GT108. Not sure about Summer Fox, and John Thomas is a hippy! He lived through most of that generation and can still tell you about it.

Besides, "Hippie or Hippy" is a state of mind! Ever been to the North Shore? There's a lot of new age hippies there that like a whole new breed of music. Just sayin'.
